Why are you stuck at NS4? Have not used NS4 for ages (I was surprised when
someone recently pointed out that something I made appeared not to work
right in NS4 - (I fixed it so it did, just for old times sake!).

You don't have *have* to move to X to get Mozilla 1.3? There is a WamCom
version that works very nicely on 9.1 Go to http://wamcom.org/ or more
specifically http://wamcom.org/latest-131/

Even IE 5.1.6 works quite well. These two browsers, especially Mozilla, have
good support for modern CSS website construction. As for email, well, the
Mozilla has the email composer thing which I do not use, having been with
Outlook Express for ages and it seems to do everything I want...

True, you may want to move to X for other reasons... others will advise on
this (my advice would be to get a more modern Mac for this...).
