Andrew, With an Adaptec card or one of the later ATTO cards, yes, it'll work... I got a Seagate 9.1GB drive with an Adaptec 2940W/UW PCI card in an 8500 parts machine... Currently have the drive in a beige G3, which has an ATTO card, and the Adaptec card in my 9600, running a 1.2GB Quantum from a 7500... -J
