My DSL service was connected on 1 April, and my DSL modem arrived yesterday. My big question is what Ethernet extensions I need for my 7500 running OS 9.1. The 9.1 install disk has the following eight extensions:

Apple Built-In Ethernet
Apple Enet

These are the two you need for built-in ethernet on the 7600 to work.

Apple Enet is the general driver and all the rest are specific device drivers for different apple ethernet cards: Built-In, ComSlot, ComSlotII, LC slot, Nubus slot, etc.

The device driver talks to the ethernet driver which talks to the system.

However, they're like the gazillion device specific Printer or USB extensions; not loaded unless they're needed.

Ethertalk is something you won't need unless you have a network of macs.
