As far as debugging, the instructions say something like if you don't know what you're doing, then don't bother us that particular option. XPostFacto "use old NVRAM settings" may be helpful XPostFacto "use patched Rage Pro" may be helpful XPostFacto "verbose mode" may also be helpful - show messages on the screen as the install begins to run. If you run into a problem where the installer crashes or exits abruptly, you may be able to see what sort of errors were occurring before it does...
