I think a printer section in apple-history.com would
be wonderful. I have an ancient Apple printer that I
don't use. I'll try to find the manual for it.

As for PCI powermacs, I own a 7500/75 Power PC (a real
dinosaur) and I attached a Global Village 56k external
modem that draws power from the keyboard's ADB port
using a Radio Shack find (back when Radio Shack sold
cool stuff like that) However, when I plugged it in,
my mac (running OS 8.6) froze. After killing power, OS
8.6 didn't load. I feel that connecting any hardware
other than Monitors, speakers etc. is suicide with old
macs unless it is Apple hardware (think: Sony,
Micro$oft, Sun Microsystems...) I have seen similar
occurrences. For example, while upgrading a 7500/75
with a 2 GB Seagate HDD, I realized that the Apple
BIOS couldn't see it, so I'd get a sad Mac. Upon
Removal of the Seagate HDD, everything was fine.
Unfortunately, you easily access the Apple BIOS (there
always have to be ways of messing with a BIOS)

My suggestion, use the highest supported OS on a mac
(download.com used to have a great mac OS upgrade, and
I think it still does) and contact someone who really
knows macs when upgrading other than the basics.

This is my first post, so if I messed up, I'm sorry.
