I would look for any upgrade with at least 1MB backside cache,
my two 7300's both run them, one with a G3/4 Powerlogix (405MHz
at the moment) and the other with a 330 MHz XLR-8. Personally, I
would not worry about the MHz and look for a 300 to 400 one with
the bigger backside (for $ economy reasons). You will gain more
in practice from a bigger backside and plenty of good ram. If
you play games and stuff, I have no idea... But if say you work
with your machine to make things like websites, manipulate pics,
design posters and publications etc, you do not need sheer MHz
speed. Sitting in front of my computers, they rarely hold me up,
they are always waiting for me to make the next decision. And
believe me, a billion MHz machine waiting is just as waiting as
a 350 MHz one... (In fact, the former might even show signs of
unwelcome and counter-productive impatience...  :)
