I meant to exclude the Kansas/Mach V motherboards from my generalization. Apple just confused things by using each of the numbers 8600 and 9600 for two very different systems. Excluding those with the Kansas mobo, IIRC, all the PowerMacs numbered 7300, 7500, 7600, 8500, 8600, 9500 and 9600 as well as the PowerTower Pro and some other clones take interchangeable daughter cards.
