Were there ever any problems with compatibility among daughtercards for Mach
5 motherboards?

The reason I ask is that I'd (eventually) like to offer up the original
300MHz daughtercard that came with my 9600. However, I recall "reading
somewhere" that there were two versions of the Mach 5 mobo. The
daughtercards that originally went with each respective mobo were,
supposedly, not interchangeable and installing an "A" daughtercard into a
"B" mobo would lead to crashes.

Can anyone clarify this? The reason I ask is so that if I offer the card,
the buyer (assuming there *is* still a market for such a card...) and I
don't end up spending time on a card that won't work on their machine after
testing out fine in my own.

Best,

James Fraser
