I think your right but I can't find a pci usb card that will work with my mac. After reading a bit, I think someone actually made a serial to parallel cable that worked, made especially for this sort of thing. But I don't think a standard one will work. By the way, if it helps it has an Epson LQ-510 emulation mode.
