I mean just that. No matter what I do the os starts up. I switched off the
start disk. Then tried rebooting from the OS system CD but it still
rebooted from the Hard drive.

you need to switch the startup disk ON in extension manager and and
choose the cddisk as start up disk in that control panel - before you
restart,
it wont start up with the keyboard pressing letter c - during
startup, mine doesnt anyhow, and it never did.
