I tried a Belkin 2-port USB 2.0 Card that is supposed to work in mac
os 8.6 and above. I tried it in my 7200 and a friends 7300 running mac
os 8.6. Both times with USB adapter card support 1.4.1 installed. Both
times I got the same problem. I have now tried 3 usb drives, 1 printer
and 2 mouses (one being pulled from a G5). Belkin support won't help
me, only replace the card. Apple won't help me because my OS is too
old. The fact that it is the same problem leads me to believe that I
am doing something wrong that may be fairly straight forward. Is there
something I have to do for a USB device to work, I have just been
plugging it in.

Arnel I will try reinstalling any USB support that came with Mac OS
9.1 but I have little hope of it working. It also is not giving me any
warning messages of any kind. The only change in the running of my
machine is that if I go into the system profiler it tells me I have a
USB card connected.
