Hey all,
Well, that's great, but the 5400 only recognizes it as 64MB. Any
workarounds for this, or am I stuck? I guess 80MB isn't that bad
either.

Unless you can find two 64MB sticks, you are stuck. The machine can
only recognize 135MB (two 64MB sticks, plus 8MB on the logic board).

I have four more 128MB sticks, but I think i'll leave it at a respectable 80.

Next, it has a PCI slot + right angle adapter. Can I put a video card
in there, or will that screw things up? I'm thinking multiple
monitors.

You can install a video card. The on-board is rather limited.

Thanks - I put an unnamed 3dfx card in it and now have dual monitors! Sweet! But, I got the stupid card out, and a capacitor promptly broke off. So it met the soldering iron and seems to be ok.

One more - I took the video input card from my performa 6300 and put it
into the 5400 - it was working fine. In the 5400, there are faint
horizontal lines in the picture. Any ideas why?

As a guess, some sort of EMI producing "static?"

I'll look into that, thanks.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
