Or, just go to quieter SCSI drives. I've two Quantum Fireballs inside mine
and it's quieter than my B&W G3.

Nah, still running the stock fans.

The way to put it into a deeper sleep mode requires that you go to the
Special menu, choose Shut Down, and shut it down. Since the power supply
in the 9600 is such a big monster (390 watt standard, 560 watt in certain
Mach V machines), it's probably better to only use the machine when you
need it and leave it off the rest of the time.

Any PCI-based Radeon should work... The iXMicro cards work, but aren't as
compatible with 9.2.2 as they are with 8.6 or older.

http://www.repc.com/ Shoot'em an email. Or call them and ask for Chris
Mitchell. He's a little ornery, but usually has what ya need, unless it
involves gPort serial ports or 56K modems for B&W G3's, as I've discovered.

Probably could get a PCI card with the S-video and the AV connections on
board, but nothing that uses the PCI desktop/minitower AV port module.
Haven't seen anything yet. If you see something, let me know. Would like
to upgrade my 9600 to an AV machine as well. Got an 8500/120AV in the
garage that I could grab and set up, but I don't relish opening up that box
for upgrades.
