Tom, Yes there is. In OE, go to tools-accounts. Highlight your email account, click properties. Click 'advanced' tab and the option is at the bottom. I had problems trying this, though. When I change the setting, it downloads all the messages and I end up with duplicates-so make sure this is what you want to do. Also-if your email account has a size limit-leaving messages on the server will get you to that limit quicker.
