Hi Jeff, You might try and delete your file called "ShellIconCache" (no extension) . When you reboot, windows will recreate it. Then then go into your registry (be sure and back it up first) and go here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer - and look for the MaxCachedIcons key. change the value there to 2048.
