When I turn on the computer each morning an Alert with a piercing sound comes
up in red on the screen that says "System Hardware Abnormal press any key to
continue". There is also a sort of grinding sound like the fans are having
trouble turning. I have blown the interior of the compnents out with canned
air but nothing seems to help. After a while everything runs smoothly but the
fan or whatever is pretty noisy. I have the computer on all day and
periodically during the day the noise returns.
I hope someone out there can shed a light on this situation.
I have Windows 98,Pentium 2 400 MHz, 11.5 GB hard drive.
