If you have an Award BIOS then go into CMOS setup and select Power Management Setup screen. The settings you want to check/set are these: ACPI Funtion : Enabled Power Management : User Define PM Control by APM : Yes Video Off Method : DPMS Video Off After : NA Standby Mode : Disabled Suspend Mode : Disabled HDD Power Down : Disabled VGA Active Monitor : Disabled Soft-Off by PWR-BTTN : Instant-Off PWR Lost Resume State: Keep Off With this setup, the power management functions are enabled (which allows Windows power management functions to work) but the standby/suspend timing parameters are set so that the BIOS does not automatically turn off any parts of the after a period of time. -- Gerry Boyd ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
