ANSWER ... Not often ... only when I move too fast on the computer, especially Netscape
(clicking here and there before things settle down is a bad habit of mine; maybe that 
has
something to do with freezes). I only have 8 shortcut keys so it's no big deal 
reconfiguring
them when it does freeze. It's just that I was curious to know *why* the shortcut keys 
would
lose their effectiveness even though they remained in the properties window  ... and 
then would
regain it only after my entering anew the key designation.
