Could someone please tell me what has happened to the windows update site for a NEW win98 installation????!!!!!!!!!! It's GONE. Score another for MS jerks!! How the hell do they expect you to update win98 now!! I just installed win98 on another PC here (to give to my Dad ;-), and like I've done thousands of times before (after the yellow marks are gone in the DM) I immediately go to the update site. Not anymore! Some page comes up and states "windows update will no longer work with your computer"!!!!!! On that page is all sorts of links to click and NONE bring you to the typical regular update site!! I click the "windows 98" update link in the start menu (as always) and the page that comes up is full of all sorts of BS for ME and SE, and all sorts of other things I've never even seen before!! I even went to my PC and clicked the update icon, got that URL and the other PC still will not go to the regular update page! So, how the h*ll is someone supposed to update a win98 PC now just after a reformat or new install? I was just about to reformat MY main HD, and it's good thing I didn't and found out about this before I did!
