Roger how does that firewall program compare to
http://www.sygate.com/swat/free/default.php ? I ran tests
comparing Sygate pro with ZAP, and it worked better than ZAP,
plus it consumed LESS resources and RAM.

Hi Cindy,
I have been a long time user of Zone Alarm (free) and found
it quite
useful. Recently I installed Agnitum Outpost (after
uninstalling Zone Alarm
- which was not as easy as it sounds) but anyway, I like
Agnitum much
better than Zone Alarm. It has an open architecture which
makes it easier
to configure, it is actually easier to use than ZA and has
smaller
footprint leaving my system with more resources. I ran it
through the
"Shield Up' at Steve Gibson's site www.grc.com and tested the
shield and
probed the ports. It passed with flying colors. I still
want to do some
more testing with others, but at this stage, I am very happy
with the
program. I downloaded the FREE version. As far as the
plugins for ad
stoppers and various other things, I haven't really tested
them very much,
but I will as things happen.
- Regards,
Roger
