Yes, it was Zone Alarm Pro (ZAP). To make a long story short, I ran all sorts of tests, and Sygate Pro tested better than ZAP (but in only one test), plus it consumed MUCH less RAM and system resources. So I'm interested in knowing how Agnitum compares to Sygate in the RAM and resources dept. I liked Sygate much better because of this, and not to mention it was FAR LESS obtrusive that ZAP. It need no configuration at all. Just install it, that was it. ZAP took quite a while to get it set up correctly, and ZAP also has TONS of false alarms. -Clint

I believe Clint meant by ZAP= ZoneAlarm Pro :) What exactly is more intriguing about Outpost compared to ZoneAlarm? I have followed Agnitum for years and when they announced Outpost in February I was intrigued but not enough to un-install ZoneAlarm and install Outpost. It sounded like a sales pitch all the hype about it, but I have an open mind and also know you casually enough to understand that you would not install and configure it if it was not worthwhile to pursue. At your leisure off-list let me know some more about your adventures in Desktop firewalls.
