Computer brand/ type? Operating system? Motherboard BIOS
brand? AT or ATX? Is this an Athlon PC? Then I can give
you some suggestions. From what little info you gave, sounds
like the mobo could use a BIOS update. If it's win98, right
click the monitor icon in the sys tray, go to properties,
then go to 'screen saver' tab, click 'advanced' and make that
area 'always on', 'never', 'never' and 'never'.

Help! I have a computer that continually "falls asleep" when
not in use
(like overnight). When I go to "wake it up," it is dead.
When I push the
reset button or power off and on, nothing happens. I have to
pull the plug
from the wall, plug it back in, and then it will restart.
This is happening
almost every morning now. I have disabled (in control panel)
all the power
management stuff for both the hard drive and the monitor.
What else can I
try?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions,

Janet
