I am at my wits end. I have tried to uninstall IE 5.5 and I have tried to
upgrade it. Everytime I use IE I get a white page that says IE can not open
the specified search page. The customer is using AOL and even it does the
same thing if I try and go to a web page in it. Windows 98se will not let me
remove IE 5.5. The only option is to repair or add. I have tried both and it
still says the same thing. I even installed my internet dial up with the
same problem. I would like to know how you can fix this problem without
installing windows again. I did reinstall windows over the old and it did
not fix the problem. I would like to download IE 6 but I keep getting check
your proxy settings. If anyone has IE 6 complete that you can send me let me
know and I will try that. If you have any other suggestions please let me
know..rich
