I just purchased a new laptop running Windows XP Pro. It came with a hardwire (built in) ethernet connection, a built in wireless connection and a built in modem. I will be connecting to the internet from home, day job, night job, and, once-in-a-while, on the road with the modem. All the connection work and I have sucessfully connected to the local workgroup and the internet from each location. Trouble is, each time I go to use the connection at one of my locations, I have to setup everything: the XP workgroup/network connection wizzard and Internet Explorer (to use the required proxy or not).
Is there a way to setup separate network connection/IE profiles so that I can choose the profile to use from whichever location I am at and immediately be ready to "rock and roll" without going through the wizzard and the settings menus?? ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
