I believe it was Harold who was asking about removing an unnamed file from his root directory. Here is a program that may help anyone who has that or other related challenges.
It is a freeware program, for use on Windows, called MoveOnBoot from Gibinsoft. You can still get a working free edition on their site: http://www.gibinsoft.net/gipoutils/fileutil/index.htm Scroll down to the "Old version" section to download the freebie file. After installing, simply right click the locked file, than click "delete on next boot", you get a confirmation GUI - now just reboot. There is also an option through the program's main GUI to rename or copy a file. It works well. It was given to us to learn at the onset that life is a profound and passionate thing.
