How do you get out of using MSN8 when you are using MSN as a dialup service provider? Or aren't you doing that? I know someone recently had very serious problems with Passport, her web pages, her browser, and a long litany of complaints because she had used a spyware removal program that disrupted the cookies connected with one or all of the services. I have never used MSN so I couldn't help her, but isn't it first and foremost an ISP that lays cookies in (especially associated with the MSN Passport) so you can use MSN?
