No, it is not a vi*us.   It's an authentication based spam blocker where the
sender has to prove they are a actually a human being.  Many ISP's
including Earthlink which is my ISP offer this type of spam blocker.  

We've discussed Ralph M. before on the list.  People need to be careful and
check accuracy of their information before they post.
