I just got a larger hard drive for my laptop and wondered what all is involved
in adding it.
I would like to swap from the existing one once in a while until I get all the
files transferred.
1. Can I plug in the new HD and insert the Dell installation disk(This is a
Dell Inspiron 2600).
2. When needed, can I install the original one to copy files to my external
hard drive?
Any special configuration I need to know?
Dell has not been much help when I have asked about upgrading...
This thing had one 64M of RAM mounted under the keyboard that was mentioned in
the specs as not being
accessible by the consumer..but it's the same as the one under the bottom of
the unit, so I ordered a 256
stick to stick in there.
Thank you.
