You can go into the quarantine area if you didn't delete them and see what it removed, or there should be some type of a log to list removed items. I'm really curious to know what it tagged and if it was indeed legitimately tagged. Did you noticed the slowdown I mentioned?
What about this: >You don't get that "page cannot be displayed" >when you click the areas I mentioned, and the >"Quick help" link? Thanks Hugh, -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) http://ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hugh Vandervoort" < I did my usual, loading the program without reading a damn thing, and it worked perfectly from the git-go. I guess I've had it a week or so. I've got SP2 and a fast cable connection. It detected a couple of things Ad Aware and Spynot didn't. I don't recall what they were. I've been checking out the advanced tools, which look pretty handy. **************************************************** I was only able to get it to load at startup and close its main window interface automatically by creating a batch file (to shut down that exe file I mentioned that opened the main interface in my follow-up post. I don't know if you saw it yet). I don't understand why it would not load at startup on mine. I assume you're still on SP2, so I don't know why it would be different. You don't get that "page cannot be displayed" when you click the areas I mentioned, and the "Quick help" link? As far as the main help file goes, it's working on mine. I just wasn't used to the way the links in it worked. It's a bit different than help files I'm accustomed to. Did you uninstall SpyBot, AdAware and the others before installing it? I can't do that. It just takes too long to setup those programs **properly**. What did it tag that AdAware and SpyBot missed? Remember it tagged something on my PC, but it was an error. I noticed that it creates a very noticeable slowdown when clicking links, so I had to disable it. I didn't notice the delay when clicking links on a webpage, but I am getting about a 2-3 second delay for every webpage link I click in an email from OE, or enter in my address bar. I unloaded the program, and the delay went away. This is on a 3000k DSL line and 3.4ghz too. ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
