XP is vastly superior to previous versions, but it does need a bit of
tweaking.
Take a look at the "Tweak & Tip Categories" here:
http://www.tweakxp.com/
Right-click the Start button, select "Properties", Classic start menu" to
get the look of previous versions.
Right-click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Performance/Settings/Select
"Adjust for best performance".
For Explorer, right-click the Start Button, select "Explore", or right-click
any folder, select "Explore". You can also explore from My Computer.
I hate the Office Toolbar and never use it, so someone else will probably
help you there.

I am still trying to learn to use XP (not sure I like it though) and was
wondering if there is something comparable to Windows Explorer in XP so you
can see your files in a tree type format? I have yet to find it and it
makes working with some of this stuff ungainly. Also, is there anyway to
get something like the Office Toolbar in Office 2003? I used that a lot in
Office 98 and really miss it.
