I've thought that I'd like to build my next computer. At first blush, it seems many of the components are easily chosen - except the motherboard.
Does anyone have favorites, stay-aways, etc.? I want, basically, a 3GHz CPU (P4 or AMD?), room for 2GB RAM, no integrated sound/video, SATA capability for the future, USB/Firewire ... Help?
