Yeah, sorry I forgot all about that. I was the one that posted a good while back that checking that box kept me from getting to the www.blackviper.com website, and I forgot all about it. (Hmm, I see that site is STILL gone!). I don't recall if it was something I did, or he did (at blackviper), but I eventually WAS able to get to the site WITH the "Stealth mode browsing" box check. I still have it checked and I have no issues with the Windows Update site. So, obviously there are other factors here involved. On that "Security" tab in Sygate, I have all boxes there checked now, except for "allow initial traffic", and "Enable anti IP spoofing" which on my PC when I check it, I have no net connection.
(BTW, Does anyone have any info on the BlackViper website? It's been gone for about 5 months now). -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "LarryB" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This turned out to be a Sygate problem and thru their forum I found that I only had to disable "Stealth Mode" in Sygate and both problems went away. Thanks for everyones help and support. I also use FP2003 and when I select the help files and then request or select something that requires IE and use Java script it comes up with a script error. If I turn my FW off it is fine. I can see nothing in the Traffic logs in Sygate in or out that would cause this. So I do not know what to change. I have updated all software involved to no avail. I am now waiting for something from Sygate. LarryBrowning K & L Electronics ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
