To our computer repair experts:
I have an older computer that I stripped,
cleaned and reassembled. Older computer means
that it never worked for me. The power supply
is OK and both the powersupply fan and the
CPU fan run when the powersupply is plugged in.
The on light is also lit. However, after that
nothing happens, no beebs, nothing.
Is there any trick to determine if the CPU
has acutually started running?
The powersupply turns on when it is plugged
in whether the signal lead from the mainboard
is connected or not.

Note: The Long Island Power Co. just had one
of its power glitches and my UPS (unintrruptable
power supply) (Harold, not the united parcel service)
saved me from losing all of the above work.
