_0_0_0_0 . They don't list a version 9 but I wonder about RealOne version 1
and 2. Wikipedia says that RealOne player was version 9.

Subject: PCWorks: Where I can get Real Player 9 or "G"?

Could anyone please tell me where I can get Real Player 9? I
had it installed, then made the fatal error of installing v10
just to look at NASA videos from C-span.org, of course you have
to uninstall previous versions for that. I KNOW I have/had v9,
but it just disappeared. I've tried to search for v9, but all
hits I see are bogus (no surprise given the current condition
of search engines).

In the event anyone asks......I HATE v10 because of: the
hideous sick green color which cannot be changed, and all the
skins offered are rather ridiculous, none are like v9;
realplayer.exe AND realsched.exe constantly runs in the
background and you have to manually shut them down with a
cont-alt-del every time you want to play something (and
realsched.exe has no business even loading or running since
it's even disabled, yet it still runs); and there is no way to
automatically start playing the last file opened like v9 did!
You have to click the "play" button every time you open RP to
start playing. V9 I could click the RP icon and NASA TV would
immediately automatically start playing.

I never will understand why so many new versions of things are
DOWNgrades, with less features and more problems that previous
versions.

Update: I didn't find RP 9, but I found v8 and it looks and
works just like the version I was using. Apparently what I was
using was not v9 after all. I say this because an area at the
bottom of the player right below where you click the "mute"
button shows something a little different now. Now it's
showing an "R" directly below it a "V" and to the right of
these vertically aligned letters is "8". On the previous
version just a "G" was there. So evidently it was version "G"
whatever that may be. So if anyone knows where I can get that
version please let me know, I may end up needing it over v8 if
8 won't play some things. Unless of course "G" is an older
version than 8, then never mind. :)
Thanks,
-Clint
