If they are temp, then its possible that they are being deleted when the program is closed. Also, are the settings for all files and all extensions. If it is not, then there may be some hidden work spaces that you will not be able to see with the default folder views.

Yes, she is running out of memory, both hard drive and ram. 20 gig with only 256 ram means that the swap file has to be rather large when working on something like Word (a very large memory hog). More memory would definately help and a larger hard drive would also. With SP2, there has to be lots of self generated backups and restores. All of this takes space.

Hi.
A client has a Pentium3 600 with 256MB and a 20GB hard drive running XP Pro.with SP2

If she opens a Word attachment it seems to be saved in a temporary folder under C:\Profiles\Admin.COMPUTER\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.

As she has a lot of these attachments the temp file is getting very large but there is no way to delete it!!

If I go to the address it doesn't exist. If I do a search nothing is found. If I clear the files through Internet Options, they're still there! The folder is getting larger and larger but can only be seen when I open the attachment to Word, then do "save As'. This brings up the save box containing all these temp files.

Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks
Bram
