Hey Ann. I don't know what all you've tried so you may want to
cover that. This usually occurs because either the monitor's
or video card's drivers are no longer installed or not
installed correctly.

Hi, I haven't sought help from you all in a long time. Now I'm
having a very
serious problem with my computer. It works just fine except
that I can't
slide the bar on my screen resolutions; thus it stays on 800
by 600 pixels.
Also the color quality is Lowest (4 bit) with no other choice.
I've tried
everything I know to do. Does anyone have an idea as to how I
can fix this
problem. A Recovery Disk did not come with my Hewlitt Packard.
Instead the
recovery program in on the hard drive. Do you think it is
necessary for me to
do a complete recovery? Would that solve my problem? Thanks
in advance. Ann
Parker
