Hi .
I have a client with Pentium 4 2.4Ghz, 256MB DDR, 40 GB HD, running XP
Pro SP1
Motherboard is Asus P4S533.
Runs fine in Safe Mode but in normal mode starts ok then within 60
seconds slows down until it grinds to a halt!.
Ran AVG latest etc. but computer was never connected to internet so no
problems.
In MSCONFIG I did a diagnostic startup with same bad result.
So, how can Safe Mode be OK and Diagnostic startup not?
If , as I suspect, it may be a memory problem , why it ok in Safe Mode?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
