        The ability of your computer to handle a hard drive
size depends upon your BIOS and its manufacturing date.
If you supply that information, someone on this list should
be able to tell you the size hard drive that it will work with.
Some makers of hard drives supply a program that will
permit a BIOS that is limited to 2 Gb size to work with
a large hard drive by partitioning it into 2 Gb partitions.
I have a 133 Mb pentium, a 10/10/94 BIOS (2 Gb limitation)
and a 40 GB Western Digital Hard Drive 
(18-  2 Gb partitions) working well together.

Go to the web site of the maker of your hard drive to
see what solution they offer you.
