I have a P4 with an Intel 3.0 MHz chip, 1GHz ram, mother board is an Asus. I have had the computer 3 months. All was fine until last week, now every few minuets the computer makes a bleep and the hard disk clunks and the HD lights comes on. It does not seem to affect the computer at all; it's just getting to be an annoyance.
I have looked in the power set up and all the setting are set to never. I have checked the Bios and nothing seems out of place. So if anyone has an idea for me I would be very grateful.
