That's just what I said.  ;-)

However they are not found in "All Users".  There are several 
"Favorites" folders, (most are empty or only have the default 
Windows links), and the one you use is under your username: 
C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Favorites

But all one needs to do is search C: for 'favorites' and pick 
the folder that's holding them.

system, I'd go
to Search and enter "favorites" (sans quotes).

I know that in Win XP, it's found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Favorites and in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Favorites

Copy those folders to you backup location (floppy or CD or 
Drive) and after
formatting your computer, copy them back to wherever you 
originally found
them.
