Larry, do you know which mobo you have, and which video card too? For
the video you can right click on the desktop and choose Properties, and
then the Settings tab to see what the monitor is and on what video card.
Likely it's an ATI or Nvidia based but sometimes it can also be Intel or
SIS if it is onboard video.
What mouse do you have?

I checked my PS/2 mouse in the control panel but do not see anything
that would affect the scroll speed.
I looked in the device manager for video drivers and all I see is a
video Codec! Nothing I know about.I did not see any yellow indicators
either.
How would I find out if the mobo requires an AGP driver?
Seems that driver management is a problem in general if these go away
and you are unaware of it happening.
Thanks all

Two things usually cause that. One is simply the scroll speed or
lines-to-scroll amount is not set correctly for the mouse in the
Control Panel. The other is no video card drivers installed, or
possibly the wrong ones. I guess it's also possible it could be
caused by not having any mobo AGP drivers (or PCI-Express drivers)
installed if the mobo requires it, or if all of the correct drivers
are installed it could be some settings in the video card's control
panel area (found in the video card properties).

I have finally got my computer working again with various pieces of
software reinstalled. Had to reinstall Windows XP Pro also. My question
is I notice that anytime I scroll using the right hand vertical scroll
bar the movement on the screen seems delayed or sluggish. Any ideas on
what might cause that?
I have my display set for 1024 x 738 and color quality for highest 32
bit. I do have several things turned off in the task bar. The only thing
running is audio, sygate, Norton, and skype.
Thanks
