Jeff have you tried to just hit [enter] when presented with it?

If that doesn't work, use TweakUI for XP.  Go to its "Logon" 
area and I can send you some screenshots off-list of how that 
should be.  If that still doesn't fix it, then you'll need to 
go to "User Accounts" in the Control Panel and you may be able 
to change some things in that area that will fix it, like 
"Change the way users log on or off".  I can't open that area 
on my PC because every time I do, something seems to get 
changed even though I don't want it to!  But I'm sure you can 
figure out what to do in that area if it turns out that's where 
your problem lies.
