I finally found what I needed on the Internet. WinXP Logon Shortcut If you want Windows XP to log in to your account automatically, you need a single-user machine. Click Start and Run. Type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes). Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer." Enter your password. Set the login you'd like to use every time. Click OK XP

Clint, Hitting enter does get me to Windows, but the screen comes up every time I start the computer but didn't before I reformatted. Jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Dougherty" I recently reformatted my hard drive. Now every time I start the computer I am asked for the password. I can not remember where the setting is to by-pass this and log right onto Windows. Jeff ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
