I finally found what I needed on the Internet.

WinXP Logon Shortcut If you want Windows XP to log in to your account
automatically, you need a single-user machine. Click Start and Run. Type
"control userpasswords2" (without the quotes). Uncheck "Users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer." Enter your password. Set the
login you'd like to use every time. Click OK XP

Subject: RE: PCWorks: XP, logging onto Windows.

Clint,
Hitting enter does get me to Windows, but the screen comes up every time I
start the computer but didn't before I reformatted.

I recently reformatted my hard drive. Now every time I start
the computer I
am asked for the password. I can not remember where the setting
is to
by-pass this and log right onto Windows.
