Why did you do this? Perhaps there's a clue there for us.
If you click on the CPU column in Task manager, it will order the
processes by usage. Which process(es) is taking all the power?
Are there any yellow marks in Control Panel/ Device manager?
Did you actually format this machine, or just use the XP install disk?
I would get a good AV and antispyware program loaded ans run them right
away. Say, AVG, Ad Aware and Spybot.
Is this a brand name machine, like Dell, HP etc? If so, what?

Recently I formatted a computer and loaded windows XP. Without loading
anything into the computer except for the drivers. I found that my computer
was very slow. When I press Ctrl Alt Del keys I found that task Manager cpu
usage was 100% all the time. Can anyone tell me why ?Could it be Boot sector
virus ?How Can I solve the problem ?Computer is pentium 4 2.66 256 RAM.
