Hi Marlene,

Assuming you're using IE, as a practical workaround try holding down the
Shift key when clicking to open the second window.

With earlier versions of IE this should result in a new and independent
window opening, without affecting the original, and you can alt + tab
quickly back and forth between the two.

If this is what you're already doing when you say "even if we open a new
window ...", then my apology for butting in.

If the problem is at the server you could quickly test this experimentally
by trying to simultaneously access the two URLs from two different computers
(or from two different browsers running on the same computer).
