Glad to hear there's another Ubuntu fan out there.
I installed this on my extra machine a couple of weeks ago, and it's probably the best Linux distro I've fooled with yet. The install was very fast and trouble free, the media apps worked without any tweaking (Fedora was a real pain) and it runs reasonably fast on my ancient board. Adding a second HD and getting Samba to work was much more difficult in Ubuntu than in any other OS I've ever tried, but all is well now. With the bloated and security-crippled Vista coming soon, Ubuntu has a lot going for it.

Me, I like investing time in something which isn't as financially evident as all the above: Ubuntu Linux. It's free to buy, freely supported, and freely updated but most people would pay to have it tweaked and tooled with.

Just my 2 cents, and happy holidays to all!
