Does anyone have any experience of the subscription technical help service
provided by Zone Alarm.
I passed my problem to them on 23 March but have received no reply.
If I had not taken my own action I would probably still not have any net
access.
I upgraded to the latest version where the icon in the task bar is changed
to a gray Z and on rebooting Zone Alarm disappeared only to suddenly
reappear a day later but giving considerable difficulty in accessing the
net.
I found a web site which explained how to uninstall the prog including the
bits left behind.
Is there any recommended alternatives to Zone Alarm.
I recommend you go back to the previous version of ZoneAlarm. I certainly did.
I'm using ver 6.5.737.000. I upgraded to the new ver7 and my system slowed
down considerably. The reason I don't use Norton products is because of the
performance hit, so ver7 was uninstalled pronto.
Off course maybe someone can tell you how to tweak ver7 so it doesn't make
you wade through treacle?.......
