Desktop or laptop?
You may need to make a change in the BIOS.

Hello again (using Windows XP on a Compaq computer)

This problem sometimes occurs after the computer is in "hibernation" ... when
coming out of hibernation (I feel like a bear), I sometimes get the following
messages on a black screen:

"Detecting IDE ATAPI device ...
Found CDROM, try to Boot from it ... Fail"

"Detecting floppy drive A media ...
INSERT SYSTEM AND PRESS ENTER"

and those two above messages repeat a few times and that's it. I easily
correct it by just rebooting the computer and it then correctly returns from
hibernation. I'd like to know what those messages mean. Note that regarding
the second message, I do NOT have a floppy A drive. --- Harold
