hans is talking about the "puredata" package in Debian which Günter is
no longer updating[*] and which is in fact pd-vanilla.

[*] in fact, Debian 'puredata' is 0.41.4, which is about as recent as
the latest Pd-extended release. so the package is not really outdated
(unlike the "gem" package in debian); however it seems clear that günter
does no longer find the time to update the packages himself.
probably he could sponsor the uploads into mainline.
