I read that the participating organizations will be announced on monday 14th, and the student application period is from march 24-march31. luckily, I also found out that it is possible to participate as a student even if you graduate in summer (or even may...), the critical day is april 14, when you must be enrolled as a student.
are the suggested topics on the wiki already suggested projects, or are these overall topics? I think the most important work would be documentation, but documentation-only work is not accepted as a code project. I would like to step into gem development; multitextures, uv mapping, animated meshes, maybe skeleton animation support, pix2jitter bridge, opencv externals, tesselation external for polygons, probably implementing "point in shape" algorithm. chris or iohannes do you have some advice for a "beginner" project... marius.
